1989: The Original MasTec Focus: Instrumentation started with LabVIEW based software with DAQ, serial comms and GPIB test and measurement PC computers (MAC and Windows), now after 35 years expanded to include automation, IIOT, Edge computing and PAC controllers, embedding SBC systems, rugged tablets, programmable test instruments, HMI, all forms of industrial comms, switches and converters, loggers, vision and motion systems plus encoders, gauges, transducers and sensors.

MasTec Focus: Since 2012, MasTec has had developed a new vertical market with a growing range of medical products that includes medical power safety products, portable medical power systems and medical grade UPS power backup systems, medical computers and tablets, medical calibration instruments, medically certified isolated network and comms modules. MasTec has a broad range of medical, research and laboratory microscopes both optical and digital, plus a huge range of laboratory gear for all types of tests and measurements.

MasTec Focus: MasTecs broad range of industrial wireless products, most are programmable: high performance LTE cellular routes, mesh radios, 900MHz long distance direct RF, WIFI, Bluetooth, LoRa and many other types of RF or radio systems. Even SBC with XBEE wireless modules built in for custom solutions.

MasTec Focus: SWS: Smart Works Systems integration division. It has expanded ability working with smart relays, small to large Siemens and Ormron PLCs, drives and vision systems, plus very advanced OPTO22 EPIC edge IIOT controllers and edge RIO IO systems, EtherCAT motion and all types of vision systems.

SWS also undertakes LabVIEW projects and provides industrial test systems, using Distributed TCP POE Modbus enclosures with high speed and high accuracy DAQ modules.

MasTec Focus: SWS again: Embedded Industrial systems. Whether Windows, Linux or OSless based embedding using Diamond Tech, Adlink, Aaeon, ICPDAS, Digi, Rabbit, Artila Linux or OPTO 22 EPIC Linux. For Raspberry pi embedded we have a broad range of DAQ hats and tools. Even PC-104 (+) DAQ.

MasTec Focus: Mechanical systems. MasTec has many types of lab material testers, borescopes, endoscopes, crawler robots, fiberscopes, electro hydraulic interfaces, gas flow measurement, high accuracy linear and rotary encoders, thermal imaging, strain gauges, force gauges, controllable VSD motor fan combos, water pump flow systems and hydraulic control systems.

MasTec Ltd purchased Jenlogix Ltd in August 2022

Rob Maskell the Director of MasTec Ltd made the announcement That the acquisition of Jenlogix creates a number of synergies and growth opportunities for both companies. The purchase enables customers of both companies to enjoy a greatly expanded range of technical products and additional technical services.”
MasTec and Jenlogix have both been operating as high technology distribution and service companies for over 35 years in Auckland NZ. Both companies supply a vast array of technology products into the NZ and Global markets.
Jenlogix will now act as a new division of MasTec Ltd and operate from the same MasTec premises in 1/7 Torrens Rd, Burswood, Auckland. It will continue to provide its broad range of industrial products and technical services to their New Zealand and International customers, with no significant changes. There are also no changes to Jenlogixs current industrial technology suppliers or their product lines.

The current team at Jenlogix will remain intact with Keith Swasbrook as the GM of the new division and also the business development manager with Simon Penman in technical development and support.

The Top Jenlogix Focus: Since 2014 Jenlogix has worked in the special vertical market for sales, support and service for the Palert, a highly professional and scientifically calibrated Seismic Monitoring system, with dozens of sites around the globe. Some of Jenlogix international clients include: A light rail network in Indonesia, dairy and mining companies in North and South America, with more coming on line this year. In New Zealand there are about 350 Palert sensors located in both islands. The Palert systems are used by KiwiRail, Councils, Universitys, Power Generation, Banking, Private business, Ports and Airports, Hospitals etc.
A unique and important feature of the Palert range of Seismometers is the Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) algorithm. This EEW operates like those in Japan and is based on calculations done on the quakes early P-wave. At this stage only clients who have Palerts can benefit from the EEW.

Another Jenlogix Focus: Jenlogixs in house expertise can assemble, build and configure custom Industrial PCs,Embedded SBC and PAC Racks with IO modules with all development software installed. (Note: Smart Work Systems another division of MasTec Ltd can continue the build and make the software application for you).

Another Jenlogix Focus: Since it started in 1984, Jenlogix has always offered LCD Displays and this now includes (Stainless Steel HDMI with Touch if required and a built in PC also). There are full Panel PCs for many markets: industrial, medical, laboratory, food, marine and pharmaceuticals and research sites.
