Home Power Systems with Lithium Batteries
Home Power Systems from Kstar can be Standalone or Mains connected.
The Kstar solution is unique in that it resides in the house and it's sleek exterior can blend in as part of the furniture.
The Batteries for System come in blocks of 5 or 10 kilowatt/hrs and can be paralleled up for big systems.
A 10 KWHr system weighs just 100Kgs, about 3 to 4 times lighter than an SLA system, which means it can be moved into a house on a hand trolley.
Lithium has major advantages over SLA in that they can be discharged down to below 70% without reducing the Life of the battery. If you do a comparison of Lithium versus SLA batteries you can get 30 to 40% more power out of the same size batteries.
UPS Lithium Power
MasTec has sold well over 30K UPSs since 1992. The biggest issue with UPSs is not reliability, they are almost 100% now. It is batteries, they need replacing each 3 years and in bad power areas every 2 years. This is expensive to do the service and also it is possible to damage the UPS if it is not done correctly.
Lithium Battery UPSs are far more cost effective, they will never need new batteries, as the life time of UPS site on average is about 5-10 years before being replaced. Lithium batteries will last 10-15 years, which means you can continue to use the UPS past the normal site life time.
Lastly, the UPS can also have smaller batteries as the same extra power extraction advantages apply to UPS as for Home Power systems.
