If you have been following the MasTec's LabVIEW Notes, you will have been reading about a method developed at MasTec for " Hiding Data - Removing Constants" from LabVIEW Programs.

This information is now available in a 70+ page PDF book. The notes are suited for beginners and up. There are a series of sequential development Panel and Diagram screen shots taken modifying real programs, plus tutorial text that covers in detail "Hidden Data - Removing Constants" from programs.

As the methods evolves a simple yet complete "Program Design Method" is exposd. It can be applied to any Program Methodolgy or Framework.

The book also includes a little on the Author's many years of technology and how LabVIEW impacted his career, and then leads to this this LabVIEW method.

The evolution actually started with the first LabVIEW 0.9 beta released in late 1986 and finally came to fruition about 10 years ago. The final pages of the work were written just recently when questions were raised about how to do this new method.

It is simple but comprehsive, maybe even interesting!

If you are a LabVIEW programmer this is worth a read. It is not revolutionary but very useful and cleans up several issues in LabVIEW programming.

Sine & Quasi Inverter Chargers

Large Capacity 2 VDC SLA Batteries

The TrippLite Inverter Chargers

MasTec shipped its first TrippLite inverter charger in 1993. It is still running in a boat in Australia.

If you want to make long battery backed up Power systems, say for IT systems, your Radio Station or maybe your whole Office or Home, then MasTec can help.

We recommend TrippLite as the Inverter Charger for these types of systems. They are not optimal for Solar Alternative Power but they have the best price to performance ratio for Commercial, Residential or Industrial locations that normally are powered by AC Mains supplies.

TrippLite systems all have excellent overload characteristics for starting motors, pumps, refrig, microwaves etc

They have large chargers also for bringing back the battery bank quickly and safely when the mains returns.

MasTec also can provide those large SLA batteries for such a system. We recommend 2V cells in series to build the right size one string bank.

This is the most efficient and longest lasting battery configuration method.

We do not recommend Lthium battery banks yet as the prices are too high and there are issues that need addressing in this market. Lithium is impossible to recycle at present. On the other hand Lead Acid SLA batteries recycle easily.
